Funny how the simplest actions can give your self-esteem a boost, like heroically rescuing your pet frog from the trash disposer. (Never mind that it was your fault he ended up in there in the first place...tricky little bastard)
But that was my big accomplishment yesterday, which was Thursday right?...Or is it saturday? Of course, I guess thats a moot point since every day FEELS like saturday, which can be good and bad I suppose. I found out I'm eligible for unemployment, which was definitely good news. Its not enough money to live on, but enough to supplement our savings for the forseeable future.
I had an interview on wednesday, but don't get too excited. It was just with a recruiter. I've had to deal with different recruiters for a while now, and in general, I don't like them. They've rarely been of much help. I find jobs through my own efforts typically. They tend to be pushy, with little thought for your well-being, more interested in filling a quota. They're like used car salesmen, but they deal in people so its even worse. But this one at least seemed better than most, relatively honest and forthcoming. We'll see if anyting happens.
No big plans for the weekend, except maybe a trip to King's Island if we can find someone to watch the dog. I had hoped to see my family, but they all had other plans with the exception of my sister. I think it would have been fun to visit her and her family, but I think of that long drive and my enthusiasm goes out the window. I hope I get to see them before Christmas.
