Ok, so um, my earlier optimism turned pessimism turned optimism turned pessimism turned optimism? I was right...the first time I mean. You know the first bout of pessimism not the second...um...wait...
Screw it. I was laid off today. Turns out the company is as broke as I originally thought. It went as well as could be expected. 'We like you', 'We hate to see you go,' Blah blah blah. I took it pretty well too. I figured I should. I've had enough practice. I actually am kind of sad to leave this one. It was good while it lasted, and although I had been looking around as of late, it was only because I knew this was going to happen eventually. When the collectors start calling, you know things aren't real rosy.
Asfor me, I'm still optimistic. I get contacted quite a bit by headhunters and HR people. So far none of them have turned into anything, but I wasn't really vigilant about following up either. Thats about to change. Wish me luck.
